Founded in 2007, the Lakehead University Formula SAE Race Car Team has established itself as a formidable competitor in the world of collegiate motorsport. Over the years, we have proudly represented our university by participating in races against more than a hundred other teams from around the globe.
Our Mission
At Lakehead University Formula SAE Race Car Team, our primary objective is to compete at the prestigious Michigan International Speedway. To achieve this goal, we rely on the generous support of companies and individuals who share our passion for engineering and motorsport. Through their sponsorships and donations, we are able to fund our participation in this thrilling event.
Our Team
Comprised of driven and talented individuals, our team consists of students who are pursuing hands-on college degrees while working towards obtaining an engineering degree from Lakehead University. This unique blend of academic and practical knowledge allows us to approach the challenges of building and racing a Formula SAE car with expertise and innovation.
